Donna was born and raised in Hammond, Indiana. After graduating from Hammond High School, she served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982 until 1991. In addition to the many medals and awards, Donna was the first woman to serve as the Sergeant of the Guard at Camp Pendleton, California.
After an honorable discharge, Donna returned to the region to work with a local cable TV company, quickly being promoted from installer to auditor to chief purchasing manager. In 1996 she became a conductor for Conrail, and moved up through several different managerial positions. Currently Donna is employed as a Chief Yardmaster at CSX Intermodal Terminals Inc.
Donna's concern with the direction our country is headed brought her more actively into politics. She found a place that her pro constitution, conservative, small government views could call home. That place is the Libertarian party. Once elected she will work tirelessly on veterans rights, cutting wasteful spending from the federal budget, lowering taxes and protecting jobs from unfair trade.
Donna currently resides in Hammond and is a member of the Women Marines Association and the American Legion.
"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."
